The machine turns out but there is no video output from the graphics card when I plug it into my Panasonic plasma tv with an hdmi cable. I tried plugging in the 6 pin alone then the 6 and 8 pin power connectors together but both times were unsuccessful. I checked and it looked like all parts were compatible before I bought them. Why is there still no video output?

I have both the 6 pin and the 8 pin connected from the same coiled set of wires from the power supply, there six and two pin connectors that push together to make 8 pin connections. Do they need to be plugged in from two different coiled sets? Because the only other free set I have from the power supply just has one connector that are two 4 pin that push together to make an 8 pin connection, but that one doesn't want to fit into the 8 pin slot on the GPU for some reason

UPDATE I disconnected and removed the graphics card and plugged the HDMI in and attempted to boot the machine with the motherboard on-board video, but I still got no video output. I tested both the front and back USB ports with an XBOX 360 wired controller with LED back lighting, the LED lights would come on for a second before turning off again.

UPDATE The memory sticks are in the first and third slots going from left to right as prescribed by the manual. I tried removing the graphics card from the second pci express port to the first pci express port and still got no video output. NewEgg troubleshooting suggested removing the CMOS battery from the motherboard for thirty second to allow it to reset but I cant find a way to get the thing out. If the CPU was the problem would the motherboard be able to display any type of error message, am I definitely looking at a motherboard problem here?

You are supposed to plug in all the power sockets on the GPU. Are the fans on the GPU spinning? Have you plugged the HDMI cable from the TV into the graphics card or the motherboard? Do you have any monitors with VGA or DVI cables to test with?

Yes, the GPU fans are spinning the card looks securely in place in the PCIEX16_2 slot in the motherboard. I did make sure to plug the HDMI into the graphics card not the motherboard and I even tried booting it once with it plugged into the motherboard but that did nothing with card still in the PCIEX16_2 slot. No, I keep my PCs in my living room so my Panasonic Plasma is the only viewing device I have for it.

I've tried the GPU in both PCI slots and I've also removed the GPU and tried the motherboard's onboard video and have still got no video output. The HDMI cable I'm using is the same one I'm using on my old PC and it works with no problems.

I rechecked my connections, one of the 4 pin on the 8 pin socket I didn't plug in securely. I now am able to get video output from my graphics card and can access the motherboard bios. GOOD CALL!.
