Hey guys I have a Intel i5-3450 CPU @ 3.10 GHz and want to build a computer around this, not sure what would be great for gaming?? I need a case, power supply, graphics card, motherboard, and storage, pretty much everything besides this CPU. Anyone have any advice for me on how to build this computer? Not looking to spend tons but would like to be able to run games like DayZ on high with out a hitch. Another question being if this CPU is even that good for gaming?

Solution
A budget approach. This should play everything maxed out at 1080p without problems.

A good build but I don't think the OP needs a Z77 with a locked i5 unless he plans to get an unlocked Ivy-Bridge in the future. Unless there is a specific feature on the Z77 that is really good not on the lower end motherboards.
