I am in need of replacing my prebuilt pc's motherboard (MSI 760gm p34fx) as it has a too low TDP maximum. I am low on money at moment however and was wondering if this 760gm chipset would work with the CPU. It says it is compatible on pcpartpicker but someone told me to get a 990fx chipset motherboard. Would this one suffice? (No overclocking).

That board is a very poor match for the 8350.
All micro AM3+ ATX boards are poor matches for the 8350 , they have poor power an thermal design.
