What happens to a striped partition when I install a new operating system

Hello,
I am currently using windows 8.1 and I decided to create one striped partition, so If I want to install a fresh copy of windows 8.1 what will happen to that partition and will I able to use it after the installation?

The striped partition will be in partnership with another. Between them they'll be given a drive letter. Windows will install the same as a non RAID pair.

So the partition wont be lost or something after installing the new OS?
Note: OS is installed on a different partition

No. Not if RAID is done properly.
