APU Driver date??

My new build has an A8-7600 in it. When I first installed the drivers and everything I downloaded the newest ones direct from AMD, ASUS, ect.... However, when I go into windows to validate the driver it gives me a driver date of like 06/21/2006?? What gives? Is the new driver from AMD not reporting correct or did windows "trump" by automatically installing new drivers? Please help!

Download the newer driver (assuming it's newer than 2006), remember the location and use device manager to update the driver manually by locating it on your system.

So, its safe to assume I installed the correct driver and somehow it got replaced by an older driver? I'd imagine a chip from 2012 doesn't have a driver from 2006....?

Windows searches online for drivers and does not always make the best decisions. I haven't searched for drivers for that specific chip, but pointing windows to the driver manually should fix your issue. Assuming it's an issue and not just a peeve.
