Fx 6300 bottleneck r9 280x?

I was thinking of pairing i5 4440 with r9 270x but now I think r9 280x will be better as I want to make this rig for gaming only and for that I have to degrade my processor and I am thinking of fx 6300,so my concern is whether fx 6300 will bottleneck r9 280x??

I'd recommend an i3 like the Intel Core i3-4150 over any FX-series processor for gaming. Per thread performance is very important for games and the i3 easily beats even much more expensive FX processors in that regard.

But, saying that. There are not many situations where a FX-6300 is going to bottleneck a 280x. Mostly MMOs and other CPU-limited games. You are right that spending more money on the GPU and less on the CPU is the right thing to do for a gaming system.
