I have purchased the three parts above to build a new PC. I am just wondering whether I am going to have any comparability issues, I have heard 2400mhz ram does not run well with some setups. Thank you for your time!

No issue but you could just buy normal RAM and a better graphics card and have much more performance for that money.

I purchased the the EVGA GTX 980 SC in conjunction with those parts. I realized after purchasing the 2400mhz RAM that the upgrade over generic RAM was quite minuscule. To be honest this will be my first time building a PC, so I am learning on the fly

You need to update the bios before you can use the 4790k
