Msi motherboard bios overclocking problems?

hi, i recently purchased an i5 4690k and an msi b85m-43g motherboard

after installing everything i went to overclock my brand new processor but i found that it wont let me

the selection just says auto, no brackets around it to change and i cant change it to anything else

i think its a problem with my motherboard rather than the cpu so if anyone can give any insight to my problems that would be fantastc
any help?

the B85 series of motherboards does not allow overclocking.

To overclock you should have purchased a Z97 board.

OC genie probably lets you set XMP profiles on RAM but your chipset does not allow CPU overclocking

is that the only cpu that you can overclock on the b85?

Only that cpu(G3258) can overclock on a few non-z97 motherboard.
If you want to overclocking I5 4690K ,you must choose z97 chips motherboard.

Tier One-Class B board ,nice quality ,good for overclocking ,nice heatsink and good value you should go.

Well,I won't buy used ,because you never know that seller why would sell that board ,maybe that board have some defect or he do some extreme things on that board...
