I can't find any benchmarks on the be quiet! cpu cooler whatsoever. We all know the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo story but if the be quiet! can come within a few degrees of the Coolermasters temp I think for the price of $29 and the silence factor that it's a no brainer. For me silence is a big concern but so is temp. I'm trying to balance the two. Obviously the be quiet is going to be quieter, probably by a significant margin but I don't want it to run 10 degrees hotter in the process. The build quality on the be quiet looks outstanding (Germa made) and all there products seem to get glowing reviews.. Anyway, if anyone has any info on temps for the be quiet or a direct comparison, that would be amazing. If not opinions are always welcome. As always thank you guys.

Just bought one, it's on sale at NCIXUS for $19.99. SUPER steal... Although I'd get it price matched - their shipping is insanely high.

I'm not a big overclocker, my priority is silence with pretty good cooling, and from what I've read Pure Rock achieves that and some. Performance wise it's almost as cool as an 212 evo, but is significantly quieter. Can't wait to install this baby.

The reviewer Bernice_B is me.

I'm *in love* with this cooler. The temps were even a bit understated because although it was -25C from my previous cooler - at full load it kept increasing incrementally, and by 65C I decided to stop the stress test. However on the Pure Rock I was at a steady temp. Not to mention it's whisper quiet, something I don't think the 212 EVO can accomplish without aftermarket fans (More money).

In case you were wondering I'm running an FX-6300. Also it looks like you missed the $19 sale by mere hours.

Great to hear that.
This friend of mine got the Zalman CNPS14X Performa yesterday (which seems to he a PITA of a cooler), but I told him to go back and exchange it for the Pure Rock today, and he managet to do so.

Tonight I`ll get to experience that easy install and testing.

Apparently that guy's a giant of a heatsink, good call.

Well not just that, but the Zalman CNPS14X Performa seems to also be extremely noisy under load, and this friend of mine wanted something silent. Not to mention extremely difficult to install inside the case.

But hey, that`s what you get when you go to a shop and purchase what the seller gives you.
Doing your homework before hand is really worth it.
