Will this graphics card/power supply combo work?

Hi folks,
I bought a new system, a Gateway DX4380-UR19 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=9151821&CatId=2627. I want to put in a better graphics card and power supply.
I'm planning on some version of a Radeon r7 250 card with 1 gb memory. For the power supply I'm looking at either this EVGA 600w http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=9548985 or this Corsair 500w http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4278582. The current power supply is an FSP300-60THA 300w. I've never replaced a power supply and while my two choices appear to be appropriate, it never hurts to ask for feedback. So, I come to y'all with three questions.

1. Do my two choices fit? ie: do they have the correct connections etc? They all are listed as the same form factor, but I want to be sure.

2. Are they sufficient? Are they powerful enough, or am I wasting money on excess, unneeded power?

3. Any preferences between the two? The price points are similar, and I've seen both brands written well of, but am looking for more experienced opinions.

Thanks.

either one would run the system fine with that gpu. neither one is the best quality but neither is junk either.

these would be better psu's and cheaper than what you are looking at. http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/compare/seasonic-power-supply-m12ii620bronze%2Cxfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9%2Cxfx-power-supply-xfxts550w/

any of these 3 would be enough power for this gpu or most anyone you would upgrade to in the future. better quality and cheaper = win in my opinion :)

i agree with you that the ones i picked are more power than needed. i don't go by wattage but rather by quality. the ones you picked are decent but not the best. for $10 more, you not only get much better quality, but also some extra room for upgrading later. the evga w1 is a good middle of the road psu that will work fine but for $10 more, the xfx is just so much better.
