As the title says I made my C:/ drive active and ignored the warning because I was on a site I trusted, and they said it would help a previous issue I had...well now I get the boot error 0cx000000f..... I do not have a serial key anymore as due to wear making it illegible . Also I don't have a thumb drive larger than 2gb. I don't can't lose any data on my C:/ drive. Please help and thank you for your time.

Also my OS is 8.1 and I don't know if it would help but I have an old install disk for just plain windows 8.

Would it work if I temporarily installed plain windows 8 on my second HDD without activating it just so I could set my primary HDD as a normal disk again.

Right now I put in the plain windows 8 and clicked on repair-advanced-start up repair(think that's what the option is called) right now it has been stuck saying attempting repairs for an hour...
