internet is slow after power cut plz help

Hello ive recently started having issues with my internet. After the power got cut ( for some odd reason ) the internet went off. After the power came on and so did the internet it was extremly slow likw 0.22 mbs. Before this occured it used to be running at 10 mbs download with no problems. This problem has been here for about 3 days and isnt seem to fixing itself. Ive tried restarting and rwvooting but nothing helps. Thanks for reading and hopefully u can help me
P.S : the router is a modem that u just plug in the wall right out of the box it is a router from the service provider called STC

I'd agree with your ISP, the sudden power cut may have fried a circuit in the router.
Get them to check out your cables and while the engineer is there ask if he can replace he router for free.
I'm not sure about other companies but my ISP replaces my router when there is a new model they have.

If you haven't already tried unplugging the modem/router waiting a couple of minutes then plugging it in, i'd say you should call your ISP.
When you turn the router off, make sure you turn off all of the devices that are usually connected to it as well.

Ive already tried that and still no fix. Do u think the power cut may have damaged the routers cables or antenna internaly or externaly? We've also called our ISP and they seem to say that the router may have gotten damaged

Today I just got a new router and plugged it into the wall. The speed was extremly fast around 50 mbs thrn after an hour it started decreasing and now this router is slow. Do u have any idea? The power cut seems like has destroyed everyones internet in the neighborhood yet some still have normal speeds
