Good Most "bang for your buck" cpu cooler?

Non OCing Cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. This is the a great cooler for stock AMD 8 cores but can not handle much for an OC.

for OCing: Noctua DH-14. This cooler is massive and needs to have a case it can fit in but for between $77-$88 USD it is the bang for the buck air cooler.

AIO's It will depend on the size radiator you have room for. I will have to let someone else help with that end. because I am particular to one model.

Yes, it does fit most Mid-tower cases. But to be sure, see if you can find how much room your case has. The hyper 212's are between 158mm and 160mm tall So if you have 159mm I would say it will fit.

Depending on the motherboard, the fans will connect to the motherboard. Some very low end and OEM motherboards only have 1 "case" fan header. Other motherboards can up to 6 "case" fan headers. These will usually be labeled "sys fan" 'case fan' or "aux fan"

The CPU cooler fan/s will plug in to the "CPU" fan header usually located next to the CPU most times above it but I have seen them placed all around the CPU. These are usually labeled as CPU fan and OPT fan if it has 2 CPU fan headers.

As for the controller. Because it powers more than 1 fan it is best to hook it to a Molex connector off of the power supply. These are the large 4 pin power connectors. Doing it this way you can adjust the fans to meet your needs.

It's true the 212 does have good bang for your buck for a budget cooler but occasionally a cooler goes on sale and takes its place.
