I have built a new and powerful desktop unit for multiple uses: video editing, Photoshop, Premier Pro type Adobe projects as well as Office production and general use purposes. Here is the basic info:
Gryphon Z97 MB, Intel I7 Haswell 3.5 GHz LGA1150 processor , 32GB G Skill Ripjaw DDR3 1600 (not overclocked), 1 Samsung 840 evo 250 GB SSD, 1 Samsung 850 evo 250 GB SSD, two 2TB WD HD.

The 840 SSD has the main operating system (Windows 7 Pro) as the boot drive with all the Adobe products and other video, audio and graphics programs. The two 2TB HD's are used for storage and a few non essential programs on them.

I hope that gives you an idea of the system build. What I want to do is use the 850 SSD as a virtual drive with Wndows7 OS for all the basic office, production, general use programs (office, media players, image viewing, general use, etc . I had already had the 840 set as boot drive. Just installed the 850. The thought is to spread out the usage as well as lesson the wear and tear on the drives and separate business programs and files from personal. So, is that a good idea? or bad? I want to be able to use both drives and not have to dual boot or reboot to use different programs. Secondly, do I format the 850 as a simple or dynamic disk?

In the general question category, When I create the virtual drive, how much memory should I allocate so that it doesn't dramatically decrease the efficiency of the boot drive? Do I need to create a virtual memory (paging file) for the main SSD and/or the virtual machine?

I hope this is enough information to help you. I thank all who respond. I am more of a software person and am lacking in some of the technical aspects of hardware so I come to the place where I know I will get good advice. Thank you much for your time and responses.

Solution
All you need to do is install the 850 and when you install a program, install it to the 850 instead of the C: drive - u should have the 2 WD drives set up as a RAID 0 to work with AP Pro the quickest, and use it for your scratch disk
