I have an Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 motherboard. I am still deciding which CPU to get. My only problem is I don't know which BIOS version came with my motherboard. I need to know in order to know which CPUs it will currently support. Is there a way to find out the bios version without a CPU?

^ that doesn't matter ,some boards are updated past what's printed on the board itself.

I wouldn't recommend anything past the 6300 on the little Asus board.
If you're thinking of using a 8320/8350 in a matx build go for the gigabyte ga78- lmt/USB 3

Its a better board for around the same money - most places have the rev 6 in stock (black/silver rather than blue) - these are 99.999999% likely to be running the latest or very close to the latest bios (irregardless they will work with an fx chip out of the box)
