Hello everyone I have a slight problem with my rig.
I have had my rig running for about a year now and I am very happy with its performance. For the last while i have had my machine 4GB has been showing up. Yesterday In task manager I noticed that only 2GB was available and that 2GB was hardware reserved. I tried the MSCONFIG tool and unchecked maximum memory and all of that crap but nothing is working. Please help as 2GB is affecting my work life.
PS: Here is my system specs.
Gigabyte GA P55A UD3P Mobo
Intel core 15 750 quad core cpu
Gigabyte GTX 660 2GB GPU
4GB of Patriot RAM
Corsair VS 550 PSU
Samsung 640GB HDD
Windows 8.1 64 bit os
Thanks in advance!

Thanks but I tried that. If you read correctly I said that 2gb was usable and 2fb was hardware reserved.
Thanks for the fast answer!

I will try that. If no, should I do a fresh install of windows?

Here is the news.
I looked in the bios and found no setting about ram allocation or VGA ram. I did a fresh install of windows still the same, and while I was at work my pc was running MEMTEST 86 with no errors found.
I am clueless.
Please help!
