I just got myself a laptop. Dell inspiron 7737 (http://www.dell.com/pk/p/inspiron-17-7737/pd_ about a week and a half ago. Its got a 16gb ram, i7, nvidia 2gb graphics card... windows 8.1
but the thing is, its runnning alot slower than the computer i use at work, which is an 8gb ram i7 pc, windows 7 professional.
the preinstalled mcafee internet security was taking up 60-70% of the processing power when i checked the task manager so i removed it for avast free, and though that helped, the computer is still comparatively slower.
I factory reset the thing through the option they give in the settings, and after it was done resetting there was no diff... what is wrong here? Am i wrong in assuming my laptop should run faster than something that seems to have half the specs?
Have i made a bad purchase? i read reviews and dont think this should be happening. I dont really know too much about the very technical side of computers and am confused... help?
