Hello everyone !
This problem has happened only recently, basically my Hard Drives keep changing size randomly! For example my 1 TB secondary drive was at 6gb's the other day obviously not letting me installing anything higher than that, then today its 17gb's, i haven't been deleting anything or downloading anything to warrant these random changes.

My SSD changes randomly as well, doing the same type of jumps ! Its only been doing this the past two or three weeks, do you think there is a programme i have installed that's doing this for example i remember these random changes happening after i installed AVG antivirus ! :p
Thanks for your time guys!

Another question I have is has that drive been nearly filled by you? All hard drives need a certain amount of space free to keep running well. EG: A 1TB hard drive will start to have issues when there is less than 90GB free, and needs about 400GB free to run at optimum speed.

The SSD free space should normally be changing slightly as they are often undergoing a process to free up new space, but it shouldn't be all that significicant.

If you don't think its been you that is filling up the computer you might have a rogue program on your hard drive logging information constantly and putting wear on your hard drive.

Hi there Lasorous,

If you are talking about free space, I would say that it is possible that a program is causing this.
Anyway, you can start with running a virus scan. Some viruses can cause issues like the one you are facing. If the issue persists, you can stop or disable the antivirus program and see whether this will solve the issue.
Also, it may be a good idea to have a little more free space on your HDD. It may improve its performance.

I don't know if you've heard the old story, but this old tech tip is true.
Try to purchase twice as much hard drive space as what you think you will use.
