Hi All, as the title says, I overclocked my AMD FX-6300 to 4.5Ghz. I ran Prime95 and ITB (Intel Burn Test) and the max Temperature I got was around 40.X℃. I'm using the Hyper 212 EVO and my case has 2 intake fans on the lower side of the cases side panels and 3 outtake fans, 2 at the top and 1 at the top of the back.

Q.1. The temps seem surprisingly low to me.... I live in a relatively cold country (never more than 15℃ outside. Inside never more than 20.). I used AMD Overdrive to monitor the temps, also HWMonitor & HWInfo. All give the same reading.

Q.2. I was wondering if it would be safe to overclock it higher? If so where could I get the details for that. Maybe a 4.8Ghz overclock or something because I tried it myself before and it never worked (I'm not the most knowledgeable with Overclocking myself.)

Thanks for taking your time to read this and look forward to some replies :star:

Hi Patrick, I have heard about inaccurate temp readings from HWInfo and HWMonitor but never about AMD Overclock. But here is all the info you need of my overclock settings.

That looks good. With temps that low, I would give it a try. My 6350 with a hyper 212 evo ran out of voltage before I hit the thermal limit. I had it up to 1.55v and was only hitting 55C at 4.8GHz. The voltages went up quick though once I got over 4.5GHz though. But I say give it a try. Especially with you being in such a cool climate. You might be able to get some very nice overclocks.

So you suggest I overclock further? Any help with it though because as I mentioned above, I don't know a lot about overclocking at all, I just read a few threads here and there and follow them when overclocking. Anywhere that's good that could explain how I would go about trying a 4.8Ghz overclock? Or even a 4.6Ghz overclock would be better too.

Thanks! :D

Did you have a look at my voltages?
