System Image question

Hi, my 1TB HDD is failing so I have bought a new 1TB drive. I have made a system image on an external drive and am ready to restore the image to the new drive.

My question is: Will the system image contain ALL my documents, pictures, installed progams ect. Will it be an exact copy?

Thanks in advance for any responce :)

Yes.

A system image captures everything down to the desktop wallpaper.

If you made the image when the disk was already failing, it could be corrupt and/or not contain all of your data.
