Ram is being underclocked?

So I'm not an expert on overclocking but this is kind of sucking!

So I have Kingston HyperX DDR4 Predator RAM clocked at 3000mhz however my system under clocks that to 2133... Is there any suggestion why?

Mobo - ASUS Deluxe X99
chip intel i7 5930K.

I want to learn overclocking though it seems like a mine field without using a cheap pentium CPU to do it with.

Try changing the settings in BIOS? You should be able to manually select the clock speed with UEFI.

anything higher then 2133, you need to overclock

Is there any suggestions on where I can find out how to do this? Sorry I'm super new to overclocking!

I know the 'EZ Tune' exists but it won't do it

Page 1-20 in your motherboard owners manual has information on how to enable the EZ XMP switch on the motherboard to enable the RAM XMP profile and get your RAM running at its rated specs.
