Is it safe to use my old HDD in my New build?

I'm about to buy a new wd blue 1tb HDD for my new gaming pc,but was also thinking to reuse my hdd which belongs to my old pc.Its samsung 1tb hdd.So,is it safe to do that? Thanks.

You will have to reinstall windows.

Gaming PC and you are going to use a WD Blue drive? I know the Black is more money but it is a better drive. If you are not going to upgrade to the black, I don't see the harm in using your current drive honestly.
