I want to recycle my old computer but don't want to leave any data on it

How do I remove data from my old computer. One of which was replaced because I droped and now have a blue screen

Put Windows CD in (7,8 whatever, doesn't really matter) --> Shut down PC --> Boot to CD --> format all drives --> Boom, everything is gone.
