Hi!
I need really help because i bought a new desktop 1 week ago and i having problem when i start playing 1 game like Tomb Raider, GTA IV, CS:GO, League Of Legends, after 2/10 mins playing the game freeze and i can't do nothing like minimize, open the task manager, the only way is shutdown on the button...
If my computer can't run that games i know it, but he can run the games +100 FPS with no problems...
So why i have these freeze/crashes?
I already have all the drives updated, my temp's are really good... i don't understand...
One guy tell me is because my Video Card have PCI 3.0 and my Motherboard have 2.0... is true?

My specs:
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3,2ghz (20th intel anniversary)
Video Card: Asus GTX 750 ti
Motherboard: Asus H81M-A
RAM: 1x 8gb 1600mhz
Power Supply: 500w
Disk: SATA WD 1TB 7200rpm 6gb/s

Please i really need to know why this are happening, i don't wanna go to the store they will tell me "Maybe the computer can't running that games..." and i know this can.

Thanks for all!
Cumps!

No true, because the pcie3.0 is backward compatible to the pcie2.0x16.

Do you OC the cpu/gpu? If yes, try it without ocing.
Do you update the BIOS yet? If no, update it.
Do you test the RAM with MemTest86 yet? If not try it. http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm
What is your PSU? model/brand? Because 750ti does require a 400W PSU with 20A on the +12V rail.
One more update the intel chipset driver too. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=20775

I don't OC my cpu/gpu.
How i can update my BIOS? I found this but is hard to know where i put that files...
My PSU is Unyka 500w +3.3v | +5v | +12 | -12v | +5vsb |
28A 28A 22A 0.5A 2A

Maybe the PSU has problem, because the +12V has 22A on it. You may try use the onboard iGPU to see the PC will freeze or not during the game, you need low the game setting when you use the iGPU for game. If the pc will not freeze, you may try other PSU with the gtx750ti ( if you have one or borrow one) to double check it.

For update the BIOS, check the link http://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1008280/ Also before you do, read the instruction very very carefully, because if you don't do it right, the PC may not boot anymore.

My integrated graphic can't run games like Tomb Raider / GTA IV / League of Legends and CS:GO and i can't test...
I really don't know...
For example i can play League Of Legends and CS:GO many hours without freeze, but Tomb Raider and GTA IV freeze past 2/5mins playing... blue screen appears me 2 times when i spam CTRL+ALT+DEL for open the task manager.

I open the event viewer and have 1 critic type 41 Kernel-Power.

The kernel power event ID 41 error occurs when the computer is shut down, or it restarts unexpectedly.
And I found one article for the 0x000000f4 0x00000003 error. http://www.articlewritingclicks.com/Windows_Errors/Stop_0x000000f4_0x00000003_Blue_Screen_Error__Repair_Guide.html
I recommend to uninstall the nvidia driver by Guru3D - Driver Sweeper and reinstall it again. http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweeper.html Also update the intel chipset driver if you don't do it yet, because try to see the problem is from the drivers or not.
Next try low the game setting for the GTA IV, because this game is cpu intensive. The PC freezing may cause by the Intel Pentium G3258 that may not catch up the GTA play because you don't oc it. I add one youtube, in the video the person ocit to 4.7ghz. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZbs9s7Za38

Not solved, for example i play CS:GO in max, and have days i play 5/6 hours without freeze and other days i play 10mins and the freeze happens...
This is really annoying :| Because my computer low cost but is good for running this type of games and this freeze happens... and i don't know what is.

From the the 0x000000f4 0x00000003 error link, the problem is either from driver or hardware. Because you said try the update the driver, and you still have the problem, that the problem may from hardware, and if you have other hardware to test then it will be easy otherwise it is hard to say which hardware has problem.

You may test the RAM by MemTest86 http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm
For HDD by Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for DOS http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=606&sid=2&lang=en
Check the temp ( you need other monitor, one for the game, and other one for the software monitor the temp) HWiNFO64 http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php , also from the HWiNFO64 you will get some info for your PSU too, like the +12, +5V, +3.3V, because the PSU has the voltage tolerances, it the number is out of the range then the PSU is not good. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/insidethepc/a/power-supply-voltage-tolerance.htm

You need go to the local PC shop ask for help if you don't other compatible pc components to test.

HDD by Data Lifeguard i can't run don't know why when i run a msg error appears can't execute because of windows 64 bits etc...

CrystalDiskinfo any error?
09eWRIG.png

the tests I've done I see the games like GTA IV, Tomb Raider and FIFA 15 freeze more faster like 2/5mins after playing.
the other games that require less of the computer takes more time for freeze.

Your hdd has problem, because the reallocated sectors count is high. More info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.M.A.R.T.
Also the temp too, 117C or F and 112C or F.

Return it if you can. In other hand you said you can't run the Data Lifeguard, that may confirm the HDD has problem.

My old HDD are IDE so i can't test with him... my current disk are SATA... :|
I really need to go to the store.
I hope this problems is relative to the disk and they can give a new HDD.

Look at this screenshot, 121 is not to high??

1) Do you update the intel chipset yet? If no, install it https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=20775 You should update it before use the software to check the temp.
2) Can you run other software like I said the HWiNFO64. Because from the hwmonitor, the temp for the HDD is OK, but the MB temp is not good, 121C is too high, it should be not more than around 50C. Also the Vcore is high ( 1.744V) if it is true, the cpu maybe gone by now. That is why I recommend to use other software to check it out.

The MB ( Nuvoton NCT6791D ) temp is high, but I don't know it is invalid or true, because other sensors look good even under the game, but it maybe true, because the pc did freeze, so you need go to the local pc shop ask for help. Or just ask the store to exchange the HDD, and try it out first.
And the problem maybe the MB (from temp3 to temp6 is high?) or HDD ( reallocated sectors count is high), but I don't know at this point, sorry.
