Yes, there are laptops with single GTX 970/980 and even with SLI, with i7 cpu. A high end PC will always perform better though. You can find some of those laptops here:

Yes and no.
Sure you can find a laptop that runs faster with higher settings and FPS compared to a desktop, but not for the same price.

Laptops also cap out in performance, so a desktop will perform better compared to a laptop at the same price point, and at max price points.

I'm not to bothered if it's more powerful could a custom laptop run in ultra in any game
