Suztera :
Firstly, check your cpu usage and gpu usage in game.
Then check your temperature of your cpu and gpu.
What cpu cooler are you using? the standard cooler that was given to you or an aftermarket?
What motherboard do you have?
I am using the stock cooler that came with the FX-8320, and my mobo is the ASUS M5A97 R2.0. The stock cooler gets extremely loud when playing games, which has caused me develop a "theory". I think that my processor may be bottlenecking my card due to temperature. If my processor were to operate at a speed suitable for the GTX 970, the stock cooler would be unable to keep it cool enough to prevent hardware damage from heat. Does that sound like a possible explanation?
