Hi I am thinking of getting a new CPU cooler for my AMD FX 8320, but i think i will have to remove my motherboard, is that so? If not could you recommend a cooler?
Parts:
Motherboard: Asrock 990fx killer
Case: Cooler Master k380 gamer
CPU: AMD FX 8320

Solution
You can, depending on the case.
If you take of your rear side panel, most motherboards have a cutout that allows you to access the backplate, without removing the motherboard.
Judging by this picture, it looks like the hole in your motherboard for CPU backplates is big enough. You just might be able to

just took of the side and it turns out the hole is about 1 cm too small. :( I was wondering if you know of any coolers that i can use without access to the back plate?

There are plenty of similar ones to the stock coolers that can be pushed right in but for something a bit more "fancy" this is the only one I have come across myself and its not dreadful either lol

Admittedly there are better ones around, but if someone doesnt want to remove the mobo and still wants some improved cooling its worth a look for the price

And of course you do have the option of upgrading the fan or even putting two on there as a push/pull upgrade which shoud improve its performane even more
