How well will a maxed out Alienware x51 run the latest games?

I know that building a PC is the cheapest way to go. I just have a very large Dell gift card and I'm going to use it on an x51. I'm going for the maxed out one from here: http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-x51-r2/pd.aspx

I'm also going to put a GTX 970 in it. Can this handle the latest games with good frame rates and high graphics? What about 4k games and content? Thanks!

As said before, build your own is better. Playing at 4k resolution requires more than GTX 970. A GTX 980 maybe, but non on ultra settings. A GTX 980 SLI would do the work for 4k resolution and Ultra settings.

Thanks for the help. Like I said I know building my own is the way to go but I won a free Dell gift card and I have everything I already need which is why I'll be getting an Alienware

hey,

since you get a lot of o"ow nooooo, build it yourself blabla" let me answer.

Yes your rig can play games in ultra :)
But, you wont be able to go 4k. There are very very few builds that can play 4k on ultra ( 4x gtx 980 can do it, but who has 4000$? for a gaming pc? )

if you game in 1080p you are golden. This beast will let you play it all :)
