I have had this problem for about a year now I got a graphics card but when I use a hdmi cable to connect it to my pc the pc boots up but beeps 3 times, one long beep and 2 short beeps which is the bios code for video adapter problems. The only way I can use my graphics card is if I use a vga cable with my integrated graphics and use dual graphics which seriously limits what my graphics card can do and is not used to its full potential, all drivers are up to date can somebody help.

Solution
If you've created a Crossfire setup with an HD 7770 and an APU, then turn it off and run through a problem diagnosis using process of elimination. I suspect that the dedicated graphics card is at fault, but you should verify that before spending any money.
Am I correct in assuming the following:

1. You have a single, dedicated graphics card?
2. You don't have an AMD APU; A4, A6, A8 or A10?

If I'm right, then you don't have a Crossfire setup, but rather two separate graphics adapters; one dedicated and one integrated. If the dedicated card doesn't work but the integrated one does, then there are only three possible causes for the problem:

1. The dedicated graphics card is faulty.
2. The motherboard's PCIe slot is faulty.
3. The power supply can't deliver enough power.

If the dedicated card was working previously, then the power supply is probably fine. If you can get hold of another dedicated card (preferably of the same type) which then works, you can safely say that the original dedicated card needs to be replaced. Diagnosis is just a process of elimination.
