Hi,

To know the version of any Windows, I can do:::
1- Run type winver and hit enter it tell you on the screen that pops up if it windows 32 or 64.
2- Run a System Info( hardware reading program), such as speccy
3- Run an EXE file which is X64Bit, if I faced that this exe is no a valid Win32 application, then system is 32-Bit

However, when I run 'Winver', I didn't find any '32bit, nor 64bit', but I only found that The edition, Tech version, and build number, for instance when I run 'winver' in Windows XP professional, I found:::
Windows XP professional Version 5.1(Build: SP1)

In windows 7 home premium, I found::

To know the version of a Windows 7 System, I have three options::

1- I have clicked on the Computer's properties.

(However, this is not in Windows XP: there was No 32Bit, or 64Bit on System info in Windws XP)

2- Run a System Info( hardware reading program), such as speccy
3- Run an EXE file which is X64Bit, if I faced that this exe is no a valid Win32, then the system is 32Bit

To know the version of a Windows XP system, I have only two options:
1- Run a System Info( hardware reading program), such as speccy
2- Run an EXE file which is X64Bit, if I faced that this exe is no a valid Win32, then the sysem is 32Bit.

To know which version of my Win XP, I did one of these things, I run
1- hardware reading program 'Specy program'

2- an EXE file which is X64Bit, I faced that this exe is no a valid Win32 application.

While installing Reflec V5(x64.exe) on a Windows XP SP1(32Bit), I found that Reflect x64.exe is not a valid Win32 application

How to know Which version a Windows System does have , 32Bit or 64Bit if I don't have Specy program or winxp_64bit?

Could you please concentrate with me? I am talking how to know the version of Windows systems in general. If you have a look at my last post and sreen shots again, you will see that I listed the options for knowing the version for any Windows System with any processor. Could you please understand me?

Also, I have specey program to know the version, however, I need a way to know version of any Winodws system without any program.

I guess I don't understand your problem. You wanted to know how to tell if it's 32 of 64 bit. All of these methods answer that question for you. Did you check the link to the MS support forum? It has an excellent breakdown of how you can check for every version of Windows from XP through 8.1.

Thanks a lot, yes, '32/64Bit' should be what I've been asking about. However, I was expecting that 'winver' would list the version of a Windows system for me as 32bit, 64bit, however, it only listed the tech version. Although 'winver' is much easier to be running, and remember than all those other methods, it didn't give me what I looked for.

Furthermore, I was asking about the infromation listed by running 'wmic computersystem' was much more than I was looking for.

Anyway, I really never ever saw a Windows XP for 64-Bit-based systems. I really installed:
Windows XP Professional Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1 Build 2600(32Bit)
Windows XP Professional Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600(32Bit)
Windows XP Professional Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600(32Bit)

Also, I am quite surprised about that build No, version No are same, although the SP are different.
