Opinion on first time i5 4690K Build

Solution
Any plans of high resolution gaming? like 1440p? If not then this build is great for 1080p gaming.

I'd get some better RAM for same price. Instead of 1600 CL9, how about 1866 CL8. Better in every way.
Next, PSU, go for 750W in case you SLI in future.
Last, suggest a different case.

So long as it's not Crysis 3, this card actually gets over 60 fps average on 1440p.

Any difference on a seagate and WD blue? Just asking. :)
Any good SSDs?
Sorry strike that out. Just found a link to "Best SSDs For Your Money 2015". LOL

How much should I be requiring? I am a big n00b when it comes to drives. I will most likely be booting windows 8 along with EITHER openSUSE or Fedora. Win for Gaming and rendering, and open source for compiling and stuff

The system I listed will allow for 2x970. Enough power and good mobo. If you have the budget get a SSD. 120GB is a minimum but 250gb is sweet. Samsung has been killing it in SSDs lately, 2014-now. Check out a 850 EVO or 840 EVO.

As for HDD. Seagate or Western Digital? I own WD but not to say I wouldn't buy Seagate. Just make sure to get a 7200rpm HDD like WD Blue. (WD Green is only 5400rpm)
