Hey,
I just ordered a cooler master Hyper TX3 Evo for my CPU (i5 2320) and i found a thermal paste with it. I have also ordered for a Deepcool Z9 thermal paste.
So i am confused, which one should i apply?

Also, i need to know how to remove the old paste and apply the new one.

Thanks in advance

Solution
90% or better purity isopropyl alcohol and a plain white coffee filter work very well to remove thermal paste. Since you already purchased the Deepcool, you may as well use it. It will probably be more thermally efficient than the "stock" paste that comes with the cooler.

I would I use the thermal paste that you ordered because it will keep your cpu a bit cooler than the stock thermal paste, just get some 99% isopropyl rubbing alcohol and a couple sheets of kitchen roll and just whip the old thermal compound off. But be careful not to touch any sides of the cpu for obvious reasons.
Hopes this helps :)

Thanks for the quick reply, i was planning to simply remove the stock cooler and apply the new one to test it out. There wont be a problem right as i wont remove the old paste for testing purposes.

What is there to test? Remove, clean, and install. Once you install an upgraded heatsink why would you want to remove it again?
