Hi I own an HP ENVY dv6 Notebook, and I am unable to use my USB ports. It's refurbished, and my friend helped me set it up originally, and everything worked fine.
My specs:
Model: dv6-7214NR
CPU: i7-3630QM @ 2.40 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT650
OS: Windows 7 version 6.1.7601 64-bit
On my device manager, I had yellow exclamation points beside the PCI Device and SM Bus Controller--it said that I was missing those drivers. I downloaded drivers that I thought would fix them, but the USB ports still do not work. It may be worth noting that the ports do seem to be getting power, and my computer does recognize that a thumb drive is plugged in, but I cannot access the files. I'm also having the same trouble with my CD drive. When I insert a disc, it spins like it is starting up, but my computer does not do anything--are these two things related?
