I bought a new graphics card and my computer will not detect it. I disabled the onboard card/chip and tried to download the new drivers, but drivers failed to download. Boot fails when i startup.

Pentium Dual Core CPU E5300 @ 2.60 GHz
Model: P5N73-AM
Chipset: NVIDIA GeForce 7050
Southbridge: NVIDIA nForce 610i
4 GB of memory DDR2
New Graphics card: Sapphire Radeon R7 240

help with this would be appreciated

Solution
It maybe the compatibility issues, because the old nvidia chipset is a little bit picky, if you can find the BIOS update, and try it. After the BIOS update, if you still have the problem, it is the time to upgrade the whole PC or lga775 MB with intel chipset.

I updated bios and also looked at other solutions. Turns out radeon/amd is not compatible. I will definitely upgrade.

Thanks,
