newly built pc problem installing win 8 os

So i had finally finished building my custom gaming pc, popped in a usb stick with win8.1 os install and fired it up thankfully with seemingly no problems then initiated the installation on the ssd. Now its 12+ hours later, but the install is barely only at 25% should i be worried? Is there anything i can do to speed it up? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Your usb is defective or slow and the same thing could be for your SSD which are fast so so it could be defective and yes you should be worried ny install took less than a hour

ive used two different usb's. the second one being seemingly faster. is there anyway i could troubleshoot and find out exactly what my problem is? the install is still going, almost to 80%, but its only on the fetching files part x.x

You could try installing onto another harddrive and sdd and see if the results are the same but wait since its almost done

yeah, i was just going to wait it out either way and cross my fingers. i was just worried about messing a component up or something since its freshly built
