New mobo asus z97i plus does not function red blinking led

Hi, i bought a new motherboard asus z97i plus mini itx, but i have problems. The memoryOK led on the motherboard keeps flashing red colored and i dont have any post. If i press on the button it only reboots and keeps flashing. I figured if i try both memories in the first slot system works, than i switched it with the second slot than it fails. Does this means the motherboard slot is broken or is this an compatiblity issue? I have corsair 8gb 1600 memories (2x4gb)
Is there any possiblity to fix this or do i have to return my motherboard? If yes do please what mini itx do you suggest i have a i7 4790k with corsair 250d case

Sounds like your second DIMM slot is faulty. If you can return your mobo for a replacement, that's what I would recommend. Alternatively, you could try for a refund and go for a different mobo, but the one you have is pretty decent (when it's working right, lol).

Just to clarify, each of your DRAM sticks work in the first slot (and system boots), but neither of the sticks works in the second slot AND your system will not boot with both sticks installed. Is this accurate?

Can you post the specific model number of your DRAM?

Yes indeed thats my problem :( only 1 slot on the motherboard works for me)
Let me explain it a bit clear, both memory sticks are okey those function only in 1 memory bank on the motherboard.
My memory information:
Corsair 8 GB DDR3-1600
(CML8GX3M2A1600C9, Vengeance LP XMP

This is very sad :( Just unboxed it and installed it and its dead on arrival. I will just demand a refund, because when i opened the box the motherboard was like its been used. I think they sold me a RMA motherboard.
