I have windows 8.1 x64 and have it for almost a year now! (upgraded from windows 8). It used to start in almost 1 minute from me pushing the power button of PC to me starting to browse the internet or do other things. Now it has become significantly slow. It takes the computer almost 12-15 minutes to process the startup programs. I have disabled almost all of the start up programs but it hasnt affected the start up! Is there a solution to this? or do i have to reinstall a fresh copy of windows?

it might not be a bad idea to clean up your PC a little.

also run a program like malwarebytes to scan your PC for pretty much everything that can go wrong with it.
report back after you tried that!

run it again, not kidding even. also dont quaratain them, fix ot or delete it. I remember having to run it twice, a fast scan first and a full scan after that.

also, is you HDD nearly full? and dont forget to run an antivirus aswell.
