If you want it recovered, the hard drive will more than likely need to be pulled and docked to recover the files. IF, they are recoverable. Depends on the virus. I would strongly urge taking it in somewhere that offers both virus removal and data recovery. Take it to the right place and they may not need to remove the HDD.
