I recently replaced my mobo since it died, and I had to install thermal compound to the cpu and stock cpu heatsink now.
What worries me are the temps....Here they are:
Idle: 32-40 C
Normal use: 40-55 C (note that it jumps to above 50 when I open a program or application)
Haven't tested the gaming temps yet.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Ambient temperature is around 26-27 C

Solution
there 72C exactly Intels recommended max loud temp on stock cooler lol

idel temp 28 to 35°C

normal temp 47 to 60°C

max load temp 72°C

also it depends on your room temp like i said so as long as you're bellow the 89C you're good that thing will only throttle at 100C

and i think it has a Shutdown on 120C? or 105C before the materials become conductive or something cant remember exactly lol ...

so u dont have to worry about it at all. all is good !

intels recommended Max load temp is 72C even tho the CPU will only throttle @ 100~C

so make sure it is bellow 89C anything above that and u actually need to re seat your cooler

also whats your room temp and what case are u using?
