Hi there all, my desktop connects to my monitor just fine via HDMI, I go to connect my TV and nothing happens. I got the desktop for Christmas and my old laptop connected fine with the TV. I only have one HDMI port on my desktop. My graphics card is an AMD R9 270. I am using Windows 8 My the keyboard that came with the HP computer lacks (for some reason) an fn key, I read that pressing the fn and f4 key while the TV is plugged in switches the output device. Obviously I can't try this so I am really beat, and confused as to why this doesn't work. When i turn on my desktop, initially I see the HP logo and spinning loading wheel as the desktop turns on. I see this on the TV. after it has loaded nothing happens on the TV. (So when it gets to the login screen the output stops). I am really stuck so please please help.

Solution
Tried dropping resolution to 1280x720 (720p) on your monitor then powering off & restarting on TV??
Bit lost - it has to be some sort of hdcp handshaking issue .
Doesn't explain you getting the starting windows display ok though.

In the TV menu there is no menu to do such a thing (PC mode)
