A Problem With my Ram?

Hello,

About a month ago I installed a Samsung 500Gb Evo SSD. I did a fresh install of windows and formatted my HDD clean, now my problem is when I was running just a HDD for Windows my games ran fine no errors what so ever. But after I installed my SSD and downloaded some big AAA Titles like BF4 and FIFA Etc, Windows keeps alerting me that I am low on system memory and the program has to close. (I have 8Gb of Corsair vengeance 4x2 sticks) Task Manager reports that my system uses about 2Gb of Ram when Idling on my desktop back ground with a few programs like Razer Synapse, Steam, AMD CCC and Samsung Magician running in the background.
Now I used to enable Samsung Rapid mode which uses about 1Gb of ram I think and that is what I thought was causing the problem so I disabled it but I still receive the error from Windows.
I don't think a dim of ram could be lose or dead as windows still reports 8Gb installed?

So yeah that's my problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Specs:
AMD 8350
Asus 7970 in Crossfire
My 500Gb SSD
1TB HDD
850 Watt PSU
Asus Crosshair V formula -Z

Running AMD Omega drivers.
Also Could anyone post there Ram usage reported by Task Manger when Idling? so I can compare :p

Maybe your virtual memory is low! according to windows virtual memory is also considered system memory :) You can increase it from my computer/system information/advance settings :)

Could anyone tell my What size my page file should be?
Also here's a thought , maybe I had a decent sized page file when using my HDD but now i'm using my SSD with less space Windows may have decreased the size of my page file?

Right I believe I have fixed the problem.

I think due that fact that my SSD is smaller than my HDD windows Default set it at 200Mb or something like that.
Anyway I set it so that Windows will manage the page file automatically and I was set to 8000Mb and that seamed to have fixed the problem!

Hmm So Should I remove the page file and create one on the HDD?

But will that work as Windows is on my SSD?

Alright thanks man, problem Is all fixed and page file is runing on the Hdd.
Oh by the way I realised that a setting in Samsung magician (Reliability Mode) limits the page file to a maximum Size of 1Gb

That was the case a few years ago, but not so much anymore. SSDs are substantially more reliable now and it's reasonable to put the pagefile on them, assuming that there's sufficient space. One of the significant reasons for this is that the NAND I/O voltages are much lower than back then, plus improvements in wear leveling algorithms. They're not that delicate.

@Mitchell,

i'm sorrry,i've got an old idea stuck in my head,DarthTater is right,by now are ssd's good enough to keep the page file onto them, especially since yours is 500gb do you not need to worry about wear and tear because of a page file.So if you want it on the ssd, which should be speedier, can you put it there too.
