So a week ago I got my new power supply for my gtx 760 (thermal take smart 650w) plugged everything in and seemed ready to start. So I start it up and I hear a LOUD beep and smoke started coming out of the psu (damn thermaltake).I tried to test if everything still worked and everything did (I tested with my old power supply) except that they all had a horrible smell.I can't test my graphics card since I don't have a high enough wattage psu To power it.Do you think it will still work?(I think I put 2 8 pin connectors to the GPU aswell)

I never have had smoke come from my computer, but other than that I have had similar problems in the past. Your GPU will PROBABLY still work though there is no sure way to tell until you've tested it out. I'm not familiar with whether or not Thermaltake is a good brand, but I would think 650 watts would be enough to power up your card, depending on what else you have in your rig.

Good luck though.
