Hi guys! So, I finally got enough money to make the jump to GTX 970 but I'm rather torn between the brands, more specifically between the EVGA FTW GTX 970 ACX 2.0, the ASUS Strix GTX 970. I'd also gladly buy a Gigabyte equivalent if it's better.
I have a feeling the more I'm reading up on the cards the more torn I get.

The things that I'm concerned about are performance, coil whine and overall card loudness. I'd really appreciate advice on this one. Also, I won't be overclocking the card anytime soon so that isn't an issue.

If you want a GPU with high core clock and with good cooling, you should consider MSI Twin Frozr. Although I've never had MSI products, I heard the Twin Frozr is one of the best GPUs for best cooling. But then again there isn't exactly a "best" GPU, every card has it's own problems, an unknown or purposely mistake will always be made. I'd just go with the card that has a long warranty with a brand that you've heard of with good customer service that will back you up when you have issues. That's how I ended up with Asus, when I was choosing between Sapphire and Asus 295x2, I noticed Asus had 3 year warranty and Sapphire only had 2, plus I have known Asus for it's reputation, so that's how I picked the best GPU for me.
