Hi. I tried to find an answer to this, but I get confused by the technicalities.
I have a Corsair HX 650W PSU with only 2 6-pin outlets. I just bought a new GPU Geforce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC which has an 8-pin connector.
The cable I used for my old GPU was a 6 pin into the PSU with 2 6+2 pins PCI-E outputs, can I use this to supply my GTX760 with power, because I read that a 8-pin GPU needs 300W, but a 6-pin can only supply 75W, and I don't want to break anything or burn down the house.
