Hi guys i heard there is a close relationg between COIL WHINE & psu. So what would be a good 550-700w psu for msi gtx 970 gaming 4g which is good but not much expensive? Please suggest the one you personally experienced with msi gtx 970 gaming having NO COIL WHINE. I am really afraid of the coil whine fact and i really don't want to get one in my gpu. So as always help guys. Waiting for your reply........ :)

Tier 1 and 2 of this list are good. Tier 3 is average.

Some Corsair and coolermaster PSU are very high quality but only on their top of the line series such as
Corsair:HX, HXi, AXi
Cooler Master: VS series
EVGA: B2, G2, P2
Seasonic: All their psu are good to use.
XFX: All their psu are good to use.
Antec: Some of their psu are good to use

You can manage with a decent Tier 1-2 550W psu on a GTX 970 build.

I personally don't have the MSI 970 but i have the Strix 970 which had coil whine when i was using a cheap corsair PSU and then i switched it for the Corsair RM 650 watt and the coil whine was gone. Hope this helps

EVGA G2 is a really great PSU-series.
Using it myself. It delivers pure quality.

They could be a little pricey, but definatelty worth it.

Corsair and Cooler Masters' PSU's isn't really very high quality. XFX and EVGA makes some real quality. However, also seen on the price.

Up to you, though.
Good luck!

Maybe you are right. i did some research and found out that those who are using msi gtx 970 with evga psu are completely fine. The same can't be said for corsair though. Could you suggest me one from the G2 series? Thanks

A computer pulls less power than you expect.
However, just to be safe;
I'd suggest the 750W. It's a little too much, however that gives potential for future upgrades.

That's how I see on the case.
EVGA G2 750W.

Good Luck!
