I want to know what GPU I need to max Arma 3 out with 60+fps I already can do the auto detect and get the Ultra with 60fps but I want a Graphic card to run maxed out 60fps the cost is not a problem

MSI Z97 Gaming 5
XFX R9 280X 3gb
i5 4690k
8gb Ram

Yes the card is self is good but Arma and standalone games are all terribly optimized take it from me those games are very heavy CPU intensive

GTX970 or GTX980 are your best bet atm or u can go GTX970SLI

IMO u can try Overclocking that R9 280x also OC your CPU if u have a cooler u will see 5+ FPS gain from Ocing the CPU to 4.5ghz at least

i have a 7950 @ 1300/1900 with 3570K @ 5GHZ and i can run it butter smooth without AA

haha... i'm not sure Arma3 will run maxed out on ANY rig.

that said it definitely runs better on nvidia then it does on AMD... you can try to upgrade to a gtx970, the price is reasonable and the performance is there. Just be aware even if your gpu can run it maxed when you try to run ARMA3 maxed out your CPU will become the bottleneck, and you'll need to overclock it into the 4.5-4.7ghz or higher (if it isn't already) to max Arma3

Thats not true it runs better on 7950 boost than my 660 ti but the Games is CPU intensive its self so hell need a Intel CPU just cause the games only uses 2-3 cores more and Intel are known to have their first 2 cores very powerful

the 7950 is a far superior gpu to the old 660ti. it's head and shoulders faster then the newer 760 as well. so its no surprise it runs better on the 7950. (the boost is a great 7950 too).

Yeah but im just saying the 280x for Arma 3 is enough but The games Is very CPU Heavy but his CPU should work very well
