Is it Possible to change the Processor of my Motherboard (BIOSTAR G31D-M7)?

My Motherboard has a Processor:
Intel® Pentium® Processor E5200(2M Cache, 2.50 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

is there any available Processors that I can buy to upgrade my CPU? :)
most probably 3.1GHz up

Possible. Not everything is listed there. I think the E8600 is Core 2 Quad processor. Should be fine.

Just find a LGA 775 socket processor. It should be available with your computer hardware dealer. Finding it online might be difficult. Try the E5700, it is around 3.0 GHZ. What are you upgrading for?

looks like it can handle an e8600@3.33ghz.

or better yet, a quadcore of some type.

i do find it strange that it simply isnt compatible with any socket 775 cpu though. i wonder if it is and just doesnt list them

It looks like a must have missed it then. I just went on PCpartpicker and selected lga 775 and looked what the options were.

Can you give me some Suggestions on which brand, parts should i buy if ever i'll buy a new computer.
