So I recently built a new PC and got all new components. But I took the hard drive out of my old HP Pavilion and put it into my new PC. I didn't wipe the hard drive before putting into my system though... Now I'm having various issues:
I've noticed that the computer (and Slim Drivers) still thinks it is an AMD A6-5200 processor with integrated graphics... The windows update actually had a driver update specifically for the AMD Radeon HD 6400 discrete graphic card. But the computer knows that it is an AMD FX-6300 processor with dual EVGA 660 graphics cards, in SLI. It also will not detect any games that I put into the CD drive. It says, "Insert (whatever game) game disc," whenever it's actually in the CD drive. It doesn't detect flashdrives either. It won't let me update Windows 8.1, MSI Live Update 6, Malwarebytes Anti-malware, Smite, Rift, Warframe, or Minecraft. It won't let me log in to Warframe, Smite, or Origin. Steam runs extreeeeemly slow and is basically unresponsive. When I try to download mods for Skyrim through Nexus Mod Manager, downloads are basically slowed to a halt. It downloads about 60-500kb of the mod and then just stops downloading. So I have to press pause and resume constantly, if I want the mod to download... This takes hours sometimes. In fact, I have one downloading now and Its about 90% complete when it's ETA is 1 minute... I started downloading it a few hours ago. So my original idea was to pirate a new OS for the computer... But I don't have a spare flashdrive to format for OS installation. Plus I'm actually not even sure if UTorrent will let me download anything, judging by what Nexus Mod Manager is doing.
So what I'm asking is, is there a way I can download a new OS, without a flashdrive, and keep all of my stuff but make everything run the way it was supposed to? (I don't have the budget to get a disc.) Or better yet, is there a way to fix the OS problem and just keep all of my stuff? And last of all, if those aren't options, if I wipe my hard drive, will that delete all the drivers I have on the hard drive for the old PC, allow me to replace them with the newer ones, but keep my OS I have now, and would that fix the problem?

Solution
Hello... Re-install new MB Hardware drivers for your MB before using the internet.
You said you had the MB hardware driver DISk?.. OR you can download the latest ones, before you delete the OLD ones... ALWAYS be Prepared with the NEW drivers, before deleting OLD the ones.
Hello... What does the OEM Windows sticker on your HP say for your OS KEY? Version? BIT?
With a MB/CPU change and Windows 8 OS, a re-install will be needed... Pickup a new SSD or HD to do this, and Then keeping all your OLD DATA with your OLD HD will make it so much easier on you.

It already came pre-activated... But the version I have, I know is Windows 8.1 9600. I got a new product key when I put the hard drive in this computer because it became unactivated. Microsoft basically just gave me one...

Hello... Please answer the Questions if you want complete, fast and acurate help... Since Microsoft gave you one, then call them for the Help, " as to why their OS is not working with your new MB/CPU "... B )

Its a 64x bit and I do not have the money right now to pick up a spare hard drive. I have over 500gb+ worth of data. I may call Microsoft later if I cannot find proper help here... Personally I have never had a good experience with Microsoft's tech support. But can you answer my last question? If I wipe my hard drive, will the OS stay and all the old drivers be deleted? Because then I can just put in the disc that came with my motherboard and redownload all the drivers. Then head to AMD and Nvidia's website for the CPU and GPU drivers...

If I delete the network chip, doesn't that mean I won't be able to connect to the internet and download the drivers?

So I've incountered a big problem... The computer does not respond to disc's now and doesn't recognize my motherboard disc... I did get a 16gb flashdrive a few minutes ago and I searched for some money and may be able to purchase the actual Windows 8 disc from Walmart now. So if I do buy the OS, how do I wipe the hard drive?

Its not as pretty as windows, and takes some learning and getting used to but you can try it before actually installing it. Search for Linux Mint and install that to your flash drive. You can then boot your computer to that and give it a try. its FREE and fairly good. All your questions about Mint can be answered on their website.

I don't think I will be needing that now. I was able to find a Windows 8 disc at Walmart for a fair price. Do you happen to know how to wipe a hard drive though? Ill be needing to do that next.

Will that reset all the drivers? Because my problem is it thinks its the old PC and the new PC at the same time... So would it delete all the old drivers and update Windows to the new drivers?
