You will no doubt be able to upgrade to it, so I would also say just get the 4690K once. You wont be able to overclock it at all but then you have the cpu already and when you decide to upgrade your mb just go for any Z97 board and you will be fine...

IF he doesnt upgrade the motherboard he will be able to upgrade it just a BIOS update will be needed is all and no overclocking making a 4690K no better than a 4690 non-K series

Dude no BIOS update will help a H81 mb to overclock... Why then even buy any Z87/97, why would intel or any of the 3rd party developers do that?? Your thinking of the G3258 Pentium AE, that cpu can be overclocked on almost any chipset...
