Core i3 4150 or Pentium G3258 Anniversary Edition + CM Hyper 212x on Asus B85M-G

Hi Guys this is Fapino and today I will be asking:

Which will be better, a core i3 4150 or a Pentium G3258 Anniversary Edition? Yes I plan to overclock the G3258. The motherboard will be the Asus B85M-G.

What is the power phase of the Asus B85M-G?

With a good OC, you will be able to get the G3258 up to... the Hyper Threaded i3-4150's performance. But the G3258 is more fun.
Asus doesn't list the power phases for that board, but from looking at the VRMs I'd say 3+1. You don't need much power to OC the 53W (at stock) G3258.

If you will game the the i3 due to hyperthreading and some games wont run unless you have 4 threads

The pentium will be cheaper,but when having the money would i recommend the i3 too.
